Can I edit my book inside TailoredRead?

Editing is not done inside the TailoredRead platform.

With the Author or Commercial license, you can download your book as a Word document (.docx file) and edit it using Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

To edit your book:

  1. Go to Your Library
  2. Open your book
  3. Click the ⋮ menu (top right)
  4. Select “Download Word Document”
  5. Open the .docx file in Word or Google Docs

All edits — including changing the title, adding your name as author, modifying the cover page, formatting, or adding content — must be done in the downloaded .docx file.

TailoredRead does not allow editing the title, cover, or author name inside the platform.

Important: Do not convert the PDF into Word. PDF conversion often breaks formatting and text. Always use the .docx file for editing.

After downloading the .docx file, you do not need to use the TailoredRead platform to finalize your book.
