How do I put my name as the author?

With the Author or Commercial license, you put your name as the author by downloading the Word file (.docx) and replacing the byline yourself in Microsoft Word or Google Docs. There's no in-app setting that does this automatically.

Worth knowing before you buy: purchasing the Author License doesn't change the author line on the book page inside TailoredRead. That page keeps showing the TailoredRead author byline. The license gives you the rights and the editable .docx; the .docx is where you make the book yours, and it's what you publish, share, or print.

Here's the workflow:

1. Open the book in Your Library.
2. Select the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner and select Download Word Document.
3. Open the .docx file in Word or Google Docs.
4. Replace the TailoredRead byline with your name in both places it appears: on the cover, and on the title page right after it. You can edit anything else on those two pages too.
5. Save, and export to PDF if you need one.

The .docx is the source of truth for authorship. Once you know where the byline lives, you can make the book yours in a couple of minutes.
