How do I use the online reader?

The online reader is where you read your book directly on TailoredRead, on any device with a browser. There's nothing to install: sign in, open a book from Your Library, and start reading. The reader is also the control center for each book, where you manage visibility and license, and download a PDF or Word copy for offline reading.

  • Table of contents (list icon, top-left). Opens a panel with every chapter and subchapter. Select one to jump straight to it.
  • Menu (⋮, top-right). Opens the book menu, described below.

The ⋮ menu is where everything else happens, grouped into four sections.

Book:

  • Write a Review. Rate the book and share your thoughts. See book reviews.
  • License. View the current license or upgrade to get broader rights (editing, sharing, selling).
  • Visibility. Manage who else can see a sample of your book.

Download or Send:

  • Send to Kindle. Send the EPUB to your Kindle through Amazon's Send to Kindle page. See send to Kindle.
  • Download EPUB (eBook). The reflowable ebook file for Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, and other reading apps. See How do I open my book on any device?.
  • Download PDF for Tablet or Computer and Download PDF for Phone. Two page sizes sized for different screens. See download PDF.
  • Download Word Document. Available with a Commercial or Author license. See download Word.

Create another book:

  • New Book. Start a fresh book from scratch.
  • Related to This Book. Create a related book that reuses the current book's subject and settings.

Display & Help:

  • Customize Display. Switches between 1 Page, 2 Pages, and Continuous layouts. Font size is controlled by your browser: on iOS tap AA in the address bar, on Android use the browser menu zoom, on desktop press Cmd/Ctrl + + or −. These settings only affect the reader view on this device; the underlying book and any downloaded PDF, EPUB, or Word file are unaffected.
  • Support & Help. Get help for your book.

Want to adjust the look on a dedicated e-reader instead? Download the EPUB and open it in the Kindle app, Apple Books, Kobo, or any reading app. There your device controls the font, size, margins, line spacing, and page color, and the text reflows to fit any screen — so you're not limited to the browser controls above.
